Another gorgeous sunny day in Michigan. The weather since we have returned has been fantastic!
We have not had the air conditioning on in a week and it is very pleasant in the house, great running conditions too! Not that I have had any time to run! The smaller the baby the more time they take--as I'm sure all you Mom's know and remember! Actually Cassandra is a dream baby, happy at all times, really! She wakes up with a smile for everyone, plays hard,eats great, and falls asleep immediately. I take a dozen if they can all be as great as Cassandra!
Today was beach day for the family and we headed to Bishop Lake around 11am. Cassandra broke in her new swimsuit that her Mom sent and a beach hat we snagged at Kids-Go-Round! Cass loved the sand and she liked playing at the edge of the water. When we took her "out deep" she wasn't so sure, so we stuck to the shoreline. No sense traumatizing her. Molly and Danny dug her a hole and showed her the sand toys. Like every little kid, her favourite toy was a water bottle! Molly filled one with some cool rocks and a bit of water and that really fascinated her. Our friends Anne,Emma and Lila joined us for a bit before Anne headed to work. Cass loved watching the girls frolic. Lila made a lovely nature collection of rocks and shells that she proudly showed to our group! Cute! A quick rinse when we got home removed a pound or so of rocks and sand from all her little cracks and crevices and more playing with her Aunts and Uncle and dinner finished up a fun day.Uncle Danny has cleaned out Cassie's new pool so she can "swim" tomorrow., so tune in for more swimsuit photos...Sports Illustrated eat your heart out!
