It's show time!

We sure have had a culture filled week. We kicked it off Thursday with a great production of The Wizard of Oz at Milan High school starring Sam Stokes as Auntie Em/Glinda. The singing and dancing was terrific, my favourite bit was Sam getting to ride in on a beautiful flower covered "soap bubble" swing. They even had flying monkeys!
Friday night we were at BHS to see Grease..again! We were able to help out as ushers for 3 shows, so various members of the family saw the show multiple times. It is also so much fun to help the girls usher, they feel so proud to be a part of the BHS musical theater program. They love to greet people, and they know SO many folks in town. But Friday Molly, Jake and Danny viewed and I ushered. And I can't describe to you how fantastic the show was...these kids are like professionals not school kids. The singing and the dancing were A+! Jack Wisbiski as Eugene the nerd just stole the show, even when he was dancing he managed to dance nerdy! Amazing! Jack is the plaid shirt, center in the front

Saturday we went to the ice house where Charlotte skates to see the theater group do an on ice production of Alice in Wonderland. I had never been to an ice show, and it was fun! Shawne,Sophie and Leah joined us for this new experience. My friend from church, Brenda, had a daughter playing a flamingo, and we loved cheering her on. Megan is on the right!
Sunday it was back to Grease! There were 7 performances in total and they were all sold out! Even Jerry decided to come, and was very glad he did  after Michigan lost their ball game. We ushered and viewed the show, and it was SO great! Many parents thought the kids should just do the show every weekend from now on...we could probably solve the Brighton schools budget woes!
Lest you worry that our show time is over, Fear Not--we are off to see State Fair on Thursday night at howell high school. Our friend and favourite Special Olympics coach PJ's kids, mickayla  and Jacob, are in the production.
So the musical fun continues....
