50th Anniversary Concert..Motown!

1 April 2015
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the school, our fantastic music head, Cathy Swanson, put together a phenominal program of talent, sparkle and fun. She joined the elementary, middle school and high school choirs with the community choir(us!) to sing Ain't No Mountain High Enough, and boy did we sing it! Each of the choirs sang several numbers on their own, lots of Beatles, and the jazz band did numbers from the era, like James Bond soundtrack and Pink Panther theme. There were also dance groups that performed and a couple of piano solos from the seemingly endless supply of fantastic piano players at the school. Our choir sat in the audience until just before our first number and than got to run down to the stage in our outfits...imagine how excited the girls were! We sang a sixties medly with bits of things like Big Girls Don't Cry and I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane. And we had dance moves too.
Tell me we don't look amazing!!
For the last all group number the high school kids went out into the audience and danced up the aisles, Guess who danced on out with them...Molly! Oh, did she have fun!
These are the awesome dresses we got for 1euro each, yes, I even bargain hunt internationally!
Our friend Carrie wore the craziest wig!
